The A4032 Autonnic Compass Pick Up Sensor takes the magnetic data generated by an existing Marine Compass and converts it into NMEA0183 data to use for a variety of on-board purposes. The TMC Sensor avoids the need to install a standalone compass unit minimising cost and system complexity while mainting the precision of the magnetic compass. Its roots are found in larger vessels where the ship’s compass is precisely calibrated and for certification purposes acts as the reference point for all navigation systems.
